Regarding the tofu/meat comment: I'll bet Mr. Robert Earl Keen also preferred drawing the pay of a country singer. Isn't it significant that country musicians can hope for big money while wolfing their barbecue? But Dr. Malone has an excellent point: When talking about style, politics shouldn't enter in, and it's a shame if it's politics that keeps Woody Guthrie out of the Country Music Hall of Fame. The fifties are still with us, I guess. I expect a revival of the House Un-American Activities Committee any day. (Is that what the earlier poster meant who made the French reference?)
